4th. April 2025 Tigertek on Rathlin Island: Conservationists confident over ferret removal - BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce3ql7vw979o

Babcock - Tigertek was asked to look at sensors to detect movement (expansion/contraction) of railway tracks due to heat. Last year this became an issue locally on Lagan Bridge. In 2024 Babcock required 24/7 manned supervision during a period of ‘hot’ weather. There is one monopoly provider of a solution which is extremely expensive. Sensor connectivity is the market issue. The current monopoly provider requires a data ‘gateway’ powered by mains electricity which is not easily available at a high voltage train track, hence the current high cost. A solar or low voltage connection have been tried, neither is reliable or practical in these environments.   Our data solution does not require a gateway or mains power source. Our sensor solution analyses physical movement of train tracks, aligned to track breather sections which are used as a safety buffer. Babcock tested it on a breather, it worked perfectly.

Deloitte, carbon capture analysis in the education sector.

Supported by Invest NI - ideal for homeowners, landlords and housing associations - The aim of this project is to develop a new remote pressure monitoring product for use with pressurised hydronic heating systems including solar thermal water heating systems and ‘wet’ central heating systems that circulate hot water to radiators and hot water storage tanks. Gap in the market - Industrial sensors and network controllers used with BMS systems are very expensive and not affordable for use by individuals or housing landlords. There are no lower-cost, connected, single-sensor pressure monitoring systems available on this market

Ideal for the construction sector - Connected domestic and industrial Heating and HVAC controllers

For housing providers - Mould sensor - offers a powerful, cost-effective solution to monitor and mitigate mould risks in real time - managing mould is not only a health concern but also from October 2025 a legal obligation under Awaab’s Law.
