Tigertek has tested signals widely in all of the natural environments which Northern Ireland freely offers. We can provide tested solutions in the Glens, in the Mournes, at the lakes and loughs of Ulster, all along our coastline and on the Islands and of course in urban and rural areas, meeting signal connection challenges using our platform-agnostic full-integration service. The drumlins of Co. Down are a particular challenge, but not for us 😊

A variety of Project examples

1. In Agri-tech we installed remote battery-powered sensors on animal feeding systems to optimize nutrition regimes, animal welfare, feed cost, delivery chain, food quality and future planning.

2. In energy we partnered with Deloitte for the EA, installing sensors in schools to examine utility usage and cost. This included the deployment of weather stations, utility meter sensors, using data to identify environmental profiling,  digital twins, real time habits of staff and pupils ( heating systems, ventilation) and recommendations around temperature gradients, the installation of heat pumps to rationalize the balance of high temperature swimming pool complexes versus non-insulated prefabricated classrooms with an enormous overall potential saving, informing a new budget plan for the replacement of entire energy-inefficient buildings in favour of a new build portfolio.

3. In hospitality we have installed, developed and delivered remote data solutions for refrigeration in Europe and South America, optimizing integrity of the food chain, reducing wastage.

4. In Healthcare we have provided asset location data, multiple sensor solutions.

5. In Social Care in the Community, we have worked with two companies providing wireless solutions for moniotoring the activities of daily living.

6. Tigertek is working with NIE to provide a monitoring solution for portable generators.

7. In Logistics, we have worked with Coastways Storage in Belfast on vehicle and asset tracking, energy analysis of vehicle fleet and installation of sensors and provision of temperature and humidity data in their document storage facility towards ongoing procurement success and client retention.

8. We have worked on overt and covert security projects, home and abroad.

9. In manufacturing we deploy sensors on machinery to proactively identify, for example, increased electrical current, the need for machine service and maintenance and the avoidance of downtime. In particular this project includes engineering companies.

10. We have monitored the battery charge status and location of rental battery deployments in remote locations in Africa.

Tigertek acknowledges the historic limitations of LTE particularly with rural coverage – however this is being addressed through the use of low power transmitters and satellite connectivity – Tigertek is an early adopter in this field with Satelliot.
