Water Monitoring: Better Data for Water and Wastewater
Clean water is essential to public health, economic activity and environmental protection. Yet water infrastructure is widely distributed, often difficult to reach and expensive to monitor continuously. Reliable information about pressure, temperature and equipment conditions can help operators identify problems earlier.
Tigertek develops sensor and communications capabilities designed for practical monitoring in demanding environments. Our work includes pressure sensing for liquid and non-liquid applications, temperature and humidity measurement, and connections to compatible metering and monitoring equipment.
Water network applications can include distributed pressure measurements, pump and equipment condition monitoring, anomaly investigation, reservoir and remote site sensing, and support for wastewater oversight. The value is not merely collecting more readings: it is making timely, relevant measurements available to people responsible for decisions.
Connectivity is an important design consideration. A remote riverbank, underground chamber or treatment asset may not have convenient Wi-Fi or reliable mobile service. Appropriate long-range radio and mesh-enabled arrangements can provide alternative communications paths, subject to physical conditions, network engineering and regulatory limits. Underwater propagation requires specialised design; no single radio technology works everywhere.
Tigertek's approach combines sensors and communications as an integrated system, with the aim of reducing unnecessary complexity and improving operational resilience. Internet connectivity can be optional where the application allows.
For water utilities, industrial users, equipment manufacturers and engineering partners, the opportunity is better awareness of assets, fewer blind spots and more informed maintenance. Contact hello@tigertek.io to discuss a specific monitoring challenge.
